Wow! What is there to say?

Well, I was born in Columbus, Ohio to a father from Louisana and a mother from Ohio. Shortly after, we all moved to Washington, D C. Started school in Lanham, Maryland, and moved back to Columbus for Jr. High and High School.

I think I got hooked on radio listening to W O L – A M in D C. At about 10 years of age, my mother bought me a transistor radio… my first! I used to listen to everything! Local radio and stations on the skip, like C K L W Windsor, Ontario and W L A C Nashville, Tn. Anything that would come in. The thing that really got me was how they could be in so many different places and do so many things all from the station.

Anyway, after Walsh College in North Canton, Ohio and broadcast school in Columbus, I performed a lot of different jobs before radio really worked for me. I’ve worked Radio in Ohio, Virginia, and both North and South Carolina. It’s really been a great ride, but as Teddy Riley would say… “IT AIN’T OVER!”

Extra nuggets:

BIRTHPLACE: Columbus, Ohio

BIRTHDATE: A true actor never reveals their age. Besides, I don’t like surprises.

FAVORITE COLOR: Depends on what it’s coloring.

FAVORITE ARTISTS: Anything old school. Horn bands. Funk bands. Jazz. The good stuff!

FAVORTIE MOVIES: Dosen’t really matter. I usually watch them with my eyes closed. The sound effects and soundtrack has to be great!

FIRST JOB: Cutting grass and hedges and painting pic-nic tables and buildings to get the Ohio state fair grounds ready for the public.

WORST JOB: McDonalds! I worked there for two days. It was so bad, I never went back to that restaurant…ever! They still have my check.

MOST EMBARRASING MOMEMENT ON AIR: Getting a winner on tape, and then getting their address and phone, only to realize that as I was taping it, it was also “on the air.”

BIGGEST INFLUENCE: My dad, for buying me a trombone when I wanted a trumpet. The trombone was bigger than I was when it was put together. He made me play it, and I still use those lessons everyday.

FIRST RADIO JOB: W F A C – F M COLUMBUS, OHIO

FAVORITE INTERNET SITE: Besides wqmg.com … I’ll never tell.

FAVORITE SPORTS: Love football and boxing. Tried football…wasn’t that good. Tried boxing…now that worked!

WORDS OF WISDOM: Always do the right thing…because it’s right. And don’t let your kids become Cowboy fans. Let’s go ‘Skins!
