CELEBRATE RED CROSS MONTH


With March proclaimed as Red Cross Month, the Greensboro Chapter recognizes and thanks the supporters and volunteers whose efforts enable the Red Cross to respond to disasters down the street, across the country and around the world. Red Cross Month is a GREAT time for people(like yourself) to get involved by donating blood, signing up for CPR, first aid or another Red Cross course, giving a financial gift that can really save the day when disaster strikes, and/or getting involved as a volunteer. The Greensboro Chapter also has a number of activities during the month, including: March Madness Blood Drive, Nussbaum Blood Center- 1501 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro, North Carolina...through March 31st and a Volunteer orientation, G'boro Chapter, Tuesday, March 9th from Noon until 2pm. ZESTY ZUMBATHON/ENRICHMENT CENTER


Saturday, March 13th, from 10am until 12Noon, FiF Element(Fitness Is Fun) and the Enrichment Center will team up for the 1st time to present a 2-hour 'ZESTY' ZUMBATHON fundraiser for the Enrichment Center's Health and Wellness Fund. The event will be at the Enrichment Center, 1006 S. Marshall Street in Winston-Salem, North Carolina(near the Gateway YWCA- School of the Arts, and Salem College.) This will be a GREAT day to bring the entire family and all of your friends and come out for a wonderful time of dancing, getting fit and making LOTS of new friends with Zumba instructors from around the Triad, as well as vendors and much more! A young gentleman by the name of Eric G., who has autism, lost 20 pounds by taking various exercise classes through the Enrichment Center's Health and Wellness Program...let his weight loss success inspire and motivate you to be a part of this community event. GIVE KIDS A SMILE:)


The Alamance County Health Department and the Alamance-Caswell Dental Society join forces by bringing Give Kids A Smile, at the Alamance County Children's Denter Center, 1914 McKinney Street(near the corner of North Graham-Hopedale Road and McKinney St.) in Burlington, North Carolina, Saturday, April 10th. There will be fun activities and (free) dental care for children...with the following criteria... (1) they must be in grades K-8...(2) have a financial need...(3) have NO dental insurance....(4) are not enrolled in the NC Medicaid or NC Health Choice programs....(5) reside in Alamance or Caswell County.Call the Give Kids A Smile appointment line between 10am and Noon and/or 3pm-5pm at 336-221-1267.
