27th ANNUAL NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

THE WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER


The Women's Resource Center at 628 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, North Carolina invites women 18 years of age and older to join representatives from Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc. to learn about your rights related to Medicaid Disability benefits. Legal Aid assists clients in Guilford, Davidson, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, and Rowan counties who have been denied public benefits such as disability. This clinic presentation-Tuesday, August 3rd from Noon until 1:30pm will review how to prepare for a Medicaid Disability hearing and how to advocate for YOURSELF if you are denied Medicaid. BASKETBALL CAMP 2010


The Carl H. Russell, Sr. Community Center, 3521 Carver School Road, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, offers Basketball Camp 2010, Thursday and Friday, August 5th and 6th from 9am until Noon. THE SOUTHEAST CHESS CLUB


Do you want your child to have more discipline, solve problems better and increase their mathematical reasoning? The Southeast Chess Club can do that for you from the youngest age of 7 to the oldest age of 17- you will notice increased concentation, persistance, and self-confidence in your child. Playing chess also improves critical thinking, problem solving, and reading. Students will be taught the game of chess by professional experts, who have played the game for years, along with the fundamentals of how a good opening can win a game and how to coordinate pieces to win a game. ALAMANCE COUNTY DEPT. OF PUBLIC HEALTH


The Alamance County Department of Public Health's CenteringPregnancy Progam, at the Maternity Clinic offers progam manuals, educational support materials and patient transportation aid for expecting Mothers. Patients can also see the same provider througout the pregnancy, participate in their own care, eliminate wait time and meet other pregnant women with similar due dates, and much more! Enrollment/eligibility is now underway for women with a due date between Novemeber 4th and December 2nd, 2010.
