The Women's Resource Center, 628 Summit Avenue in Greensboro, North Carolina will have a pre-employment program, "New Choices-Strategies For Success," a 40-hour program that offers pre-employment training. This program is also designed for homemakers who have been dependent on the income of another but are no longer supported by that income: due to divorce, separation, the death/layoff of that person, unemployed, underemployed, and are experiencing difficulty in obtaining or upgrading employment. The session will run Monday, March 15th through Tuesday, March 30th, with classes held EVERY Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:30am-2:30pm. Monday, March 15th from 5:30pm-7:30pm, the Moses Cone Regional Center will offer a FREE Cervical Cancer Screening for Women who don't have health insurance, Medicaid and/or Medicare, or who cannot afford to see their physician. The screenings will take place at the Annie Penn Hospital, 618 North Main Street in Reidsville, North Carolina on the 4th floor of the Specialty Clinics.
